What are the minimum hardware requirements for Virtual Machine simulation

Virtual Machine is the most demanding module of CAM-POST and we strongly recommend running it on 64-bit platforms in order to achieve optimal performance.

The following requirements apply to all currently supported versions of the ICAM Productivity Tools.

Bare Minimum:

  • CPU: Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP
  • Memory: 4 gigabytes if VM is used or 1 gigabyte otherwise
  • Video card: OpenGL2-compliant card with at least 256 megs of RAM

Recommended:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 or AMD Phenom II
  • Memory: 8 gigabytes (with 64-bit OS)
  • Video Card: ATI HD4000 series, NVidia GTX200-series or more recent
